(“Cranson Capital”) is pleased to announce that it has completed its second successful capital raise for Mohawk Medical Growth Partners (“Mohawk”), a private real estate investment firm focused on acquiring, managing and consolidating medical office buildings across Canada. 38 of Cranson Capital’s accredited investor clients participated in the $4.0 million private placement for Mohawk’s acquisition of the premier medical office buildings in both the Kanata and Nepean suburbs of Ottawa, Ontario.
These properties, called the “Kanata Medical Arts Building” and “Nepean Medical Centre” are 98% occupied by over eighty-four physicians including general practitioners, dermatologists, pediatricians, OB/GYNs and medical services including pharmacy, lab, x-ray and medical clinic. They are both very busy medical centres due to their excellent locations in the core of the countries’ capital. Mohawk will provide ‘best in class’ medical specific, property management and leasing services.
This will be Mohawk’s 5th and 6th acquisition’s, adding on to their vision of creating a geographically diversified portfolio of high quality medical office properties that will generate stable distribution yields and capital appreciation opportunities for investors. This acquisition gives accredited investors a great opportunity to partner with an experienced management team in a consolidation of real estate in a recession resistant asset class.
