In July of 2014, Cranson Capital raised and invested $14.5 million into the Plazacorp-Widmer Limited Partnership. The original project plan was to construct a 43-storey tower at 30 Widmer Street. Since the initial investment, Plaza acquired the property immediately to the south, known as 8 Widmer Street, and added this section of land to the development project. Additionally, Plaza entered into an agreement with an international hotel chain to build and sell a 353-suite hotel within this project. The final design for the project includes a 49-storey south tower of condos and a 48-storey north tower, which will host the hotel suites on the lower 23 levels in addition to 131 condos on the upper levels.
Condominium sales launched in 2018 and currently the project is 90% sold. Construction began in 2019 and has progressed steadily with completion expected in 2023.
