In August of 2020, Cranson Capital raised and invested $9.7 million into the Plaza Partners Pleasant-Dundas Fund, a portfolio of future development sites in urban areas of Toronto. The funds were used to acquire two income-producing commercial properties with strong development potential: one building at 11 Pleasant Boulevard, near the intersection of Yonge and St. Clair, and a second building at 401 Dundas Street East, just West of Parliament Street.
At the end of 2020, Plaza Partners submitted rezoning applications for both projects. The current applications under review propose a density of 73,000 square feet for 401 Dundas Street and 55,000 square feet for 11 Pleasant Street.
